Hatton is greater. He fought the best in their prime and ended the legend of Kostya.

Hatton by a country mile!!! JC clearly assembled his record with a lot of consideration, Hatton fought the best (yes he lost, but he has so far only lost the the two best boxers in the world). I have much more respect for Hatton, I respect JC buthe could have done so much more.

Calzaghe, although undefeated, took the easier and safer rout to his unblemished record. He's like the Harlem Globetrotters, who are at least 200-1, but who cares, they don't play in the NBA. Even the worst team in the NBA could beat the Globetrotters.
At least Ricky had the bollocks to find out.

Calzaghe is the better fighter with the better resume.
Hatton took more risks in his career though.

Hatton's one of my favourite fighters of this generation but if you're basing this question on ability or quality of opponents beaten then the answer can only be Calzaghe. Hatton will be richer though.
