Ruiz should be Disqualified. Don King=****

They should have disqualified Ruiz for hugging.

Hugging is an illegal defense that Ruiz used to avoid counterpunches.

The boxing rules should also change to resolutely penalize this hugging by the means of disqualification.

Ruiz was awefull. His "boxing" is painfull and horrible to watch.

I hope WBA simply strips him of his title for failing to box.
If not, WBA should rename themselves into the World Hugging Association.

They should have disqualified Golota for hitting a guy who was on the canvas, too. Or they could have double-DQ'd each guy for hitting after the bell.

He was hitting him while he was falling.

The hitting occured at/near the bell. Using Hugging more than 120 times during a fight seems like a far more GROSS violation of the rules.

No way. I've seen that punch a couple times now. Rick Reeno's round-by-round says it too.

            Well. We disagree then.

Pacman did the same to Marquez, he was not disqualified. I think it is hard to penalize someone who is hitting a boxer that goes down. It would have been an awefully strange disqualification, wouldn't it?

Tell that to commentator Roy Jones who lost his belt that way to Montell Griffin.

I agree. Ruiz should've been DQ'd! He just made Henry Akinwande's disqualification vs. Lennox Lewis legal with his excessive bear-hugging, clinching and rabbit-punching!

That just proves my point. Jones should not have been DQed against that bum.
