Manny Pacquiao is single handedly bring Boxing back to the mainstream

I had never seen so much POSITIVE shine on Boxing in recent times.

On my way from San Antonio to Austin today, BigBoy (national radio show http://radiobigboy.com/) was nuttin all over the Hatton/Pacquiao fight. He spent a good 10 minutes talking about the fight (would talk about what happened, play a song, then talk some more, play a song, then talk some more), the possibility of Pacquiao/Mayweather and Mayweather/JMM. He also said he was more than happy to see Hatton's mom cry. He felt they were incredibly arrogant in regards to Hatton's undefeated record in the 24/7 when it was against Mayweather.

I saw the fight in Brownsville, tx at my cousin's house. He had 16 people over for the fight. Every bar was broadcasting the fight and PACKED. Everywhere I went, restaurants, department stores etc, I could hear talk of the fight and how much of a beast Pacquiao is.

Pacquiao is being covered by gossip sites, news magazines, CNN even. Local newspapers have the fight results on the FRONT page. ESPN is LOVING Pacquiao right now. People are loving boxing right now. Just hope the networks and promoters dont **** it up.

its great, whats even better is that the idiot MMA fans are bringing MMA down. Ive never heard so many boos the last anderson silva fight. On top of that I was dissappointed since he put on a very good performance

They'll eat it up for a day or two and say **** boxing for a month.

Ignorant casual fans are really being fooled tho. World class fighters don't get knocked out like that. Floyd, Mosley, Cotto, Pac wouldn't clean clock each other like that...

lol, this dudes mad because its Pac and not Floyd the public is clamoring for.

This is what america and the rest of the world did immediately after Pac stopped Ricky,

Heres the Floyd stans at the same time,

PPV EVENTS should always overdeliver. And thats done by putting GREAT fights together. Great match making.

Even though Hatton/Pac was short, it ended in a positive light. People tuned off with a sense of shock at what they just saw.

Casual fans will never know the facts about fighters, stories, situations and circumstances. They will only know what is fed to them.

The most important factor in all of this is that the fan walks away feeling like they got what they paid for. Floyd, Mosley, Cotto and Pac wouldnt get served the way Hatton did, but thats because they are the ones that normally do the serving smell me? Well, not Floyd. He's a 12 round fighter.

leonard ellerbee has devised a plan to make floyd a devout, god fearing, humble man....the villain act isnt getting as much airtime
