I think there is an edge Pac keeps for himself.
He also feels like he is fighting for his people and has to win.
Floyd seems more willing to fight for the bank.

Either way....this is Great for Boxing.

Floyd still needs to defeat JMM and that is his main focus.
IMO both fighters have an incredible competitive drive that won't be spoiled by money. Floyd talks about bank, but his ego won't allow him to enter the ring any less than 100%.

I think this is the only reason he came back, i dont think cotto, margarito, mosley etc give him that feeling, if they did, i think he would have fought him.

lol @ people saying mayweather is fightnig a smaller guy who comes in at 149 by fight time.
Good point. People seem to forget how much of a threat Diego was at the time. He was an undefeated fighter who was knocking people on their ass. Floyd dismantled him.

Also, we can bring up the Castillo fight where people were saying he lost so he went out and got the rematch to prove the doubters wrong.

Pac was 148. I think Floyd may have been 149 when he fought Hatton...no?

So, that makes Floyd the bigger fighter I guess.

        .
unofficial fight night weigh ins are unreliable.

manny was wearing shoes and clothes when he hopped on the scales saturday night.

Casual fans don't make fight odds.

          Experts do.

I hope you're right but fighters do change.

I started to feel that Floyd was just doing enough to win the fight and tried to protect his "O" instead of going out there and take the fight from round 1 and fighting to keep that "O."

If you make Floyd the underdog now and people are doubting him, I think that can actually light a fire under him to perform at his best....whatever that is at this point.

100% of what he is Now, might not be the same as what Floyd was at certain points in his career. That's also something to think about.

I know how Pac will show up because he has been active and consistent with training and his performance. So much so that he looks at his absolute best now which is incredible. He is one of the strongest fighters mentally for sure.

              Did he?

I didn't think they showed them actually jumping on the scales; must have missed that.

Freddie said Manny was 147 on fight-night against Diaz....was that with shoes and clothes as well?

How about when Freddie said Manny was 152 with 6% bodyfat while training for Oscar....shoes and clothes as well?

So would Floyd be weighing in with shoes and clothes and ***elry as well?

i don't know about the other fights but this fight yeah.

i read it from one of maxboxing writers who was at ringside. he commented about how manny weighed in with shoes and clothes on.

who knows really? they don't take the fight night weigh ins seriously. i wouldn't be surprised if floyd was wearing his chains though. lol
