Getting KO'd like that can have a long physical and mental effect on a fighter.I can't believe so many ppl think that hatton should retire and that he is shot just because of this ko. It's like everyone forgot his recent destruction of Malignaggi. Nobody ever did to Malignaggi what hatton did to him. I think hatton can still hold his own at 140 and retiring right now on a lose would be a foolish move that he'll probably regret forever.
I highly doubt we'll see Hatton in any meaningful fights again.Comment

hatton was never an elite fighter, he just had had a huge protected record, wrestled kostya to death, then earned a couple of shots at the P4P guys because his massive entourage of british fans bought into his hype (and they brought in the $$$).
dude, if you're using paulie Malignaggi as an example of why hatton's not done, man, I dont' know what to say. that's sad. real sad.Comment

Malignaggi isn't a puncher but his style can give people fits. he isn't a push over by any means. I still wouldn't mind seeing Hatton fight Bradley or Witter....LeftyWait!
Did you forget that Miguel Cotto was owning Malignaggi before Cotto broke his hand in the 5th? And Cotto still won
Everyone knew Cotto was weight drained and it was Cotto's last fight at 140.
But seriously, who is Mailignaggi? Malignaggi aint shiet.
So you want Hatton to fight bums? Do you want Hatton to be a gate keeper? What do you want Hatton to do? Who do you want to see him up against? Please explain. Hatton was destroyed in 2 rounds by a guy who began fighting as a JR Flyweight, now if that aint a sign that something is wrong lol I dont know what is.
Dude we watch boxing to see great finishes devastating knockouts and action. now granted wouldve liked the fight to go longer but it was 2 rounds of excitement. It had action and ended in a devastating knockout. it wasn't like the guy got hit with a cheap jab and laid down it was a awesome KO punch. Defintely not something you see everyday....LeftyComment

WOW, I never even thought about that one. Oscar would not have to split his money with another promoter. You might be on to something. The fans would still pay to see this. Both Hatton and ODLH have a huge fan base. If this get's out to ODLH, you are going to bring him out of retirement. Wait... I forgot. Olden boy cant make 147, what makes you think he can make 140?
Eh, never mind, it was a good idea until i remembered who is weighing what.
May bad.
Nice try.Comment

I think he has atleast 2 good fights left in him. It just doesn't seem right for him to retire at this point. I would still like to see him take care of Witter and if khan wasn't fighting Kotelnik, hatton would have surely been able to beat him.Wait!

Hatton doesn't need to quit, he has to stay away from southpaws though.I guess its to late for him to figure out to slip with his own punches(after the 1st round he should of figured that out) or to keep his right hand up when facing a guy with a killer left hand.Comment

Sorry, I am not a pac hugger like you are a floyd ball licker.
I was just stating the facts. The truth is that when we mention that Manny came all the way up from Jr Flyweight, it hurts *****s like you and you will continue to hear it. Are you angry that Pacquiao is being compared to Henry Armstrong and Floyd is begin compared to the running man, the skipper, duck duck goose, *****. lolComment
