as for hennesy hes a promoter who knows what he has on his hands, he knows froch and he knows his limitations. he might seem a pr*ck to negotiate with (frochvs taylor was not shown on british TV because he couldn't come to an arrangement over the fee) but he will not let anything stand in between making the big fights.

thats what has me thinking that kess vs froch won't be made. hopkins is too big a name, too big in the american market (which is what froch craves) and a win over him and we start to talk about froch as p4p material, hopkins himself is hard to negotiate with but for the chance to fight a tailor made fighter like froch and become a 3 weight world champ i think he will do what he has to in order to make the fight.

At least Hopkins has called Froch out so at least they will sit down and discuss the matter no doubt. Should it be made, which I hope not because I think Hopkins sjould retire, I hope Froch retires the old man.

I forgot to add to my post that if Kessler gets things settled with the Palle's we would probably look at Kessler vs Perdomo and then Kessler vs. Larsen first I'm afraid.
Perdomo is the mandatory and Larsen is a huge domestic fight worth over 2 million USD for Kessler.

On his website mikkelkessler.com Kessler responds to Carl Froch's challenge:

"I would love to fight Froch after the mandatory title defence.

I know it would be a great fight as I believe that we both would bring something special to the ring. He’s a strong as an ox, but doesn’t seem to have any guards or head movement...."

The above is from the english version. On the danish site he adds that "...Carl is strong and awkward but also slow and open like a book. I'd love to fight him. It's one of my dream-matches."

I agree with you in stating that Kessler should just honour his contract. Still the dispute has been investigated by one of the major danish daylies (Berlingske which is the danish equivalent of the Times) over the last 2 days. The problems seem very deep and multifacetted and it's hard standing from the outside to see how this can be settled without court intervention.

Still Kessler states on the english version of his website: "Unfortunately it is out of my hands as I’m struggling with my former Promotor and Manager, however we should be able to find a solution in the nearest future."

Keywords here is FORMER and SOLUTION IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
