Sky Boxing ''Mayweather SR beat Hatton.''

"That wasn't the Ricky Hatton we have all followed down the years, nothing like him. And there is only one person who can take the blame for that. Not Ricky, not Lee Beard, not even Manny Pacquiao. As far as I am concerned, it can only be Floyd Mayweather Snr."

"The Ricky Hatton that beat Kostya Tszyu would have beaten Manny Pacquiao, or stood a fantastic chance."

" His first defeat in boxing came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather, now his second has as well."

What a dumb ****ing sore loser. Hatton lost because he was an overhyped overated fighter who got where he was because of his huge fanbase. He was fighting out of his league and Pac showed us just how much.

I don't blame Mayweather Sr., he coached Ricky like he was supposed to.

I do think Ricky should never have hired him however, all he did was confuse his style in the ring.

Kosta and Manny are 2 different animals.

I believe this Pacquiao would've still beaten the Hatton that beat Kosta. He simply was over matched by a much better fighter.

No disrespect to the British commentators or fans, but boy did they take this loss very bad, much worse than the loss to Floyd. But show some class and dignity, Manny Pacquiao is just a better fighter.

So it was Mayweather Sr's fault that Hatton stopped Malignaggi and now it's also his fault Pacquiao stopped Hatton?

Mayweather Sr clearly trained him to move his head and use his jab when he's closing the distance, Hatton didn't do any of that.

                Hatton beat Hatton.

Snr improved Hatton tremendously for the Malignaggi fight. He had him feinting, ducking and slipping shots not to mentioning jabbing well, being elusive and having great timing.

Snr DID train Hatton well. That was evident from their first pairing. The Pacquiao fight should have built on those foundations and it probably did. However, to implement all you've learnt you need a gameplan and you NEED to stick to it.

Hatton stuck to the gameplan first time around. The second time around he didnt and got wiped out. It was HIS own fault. Snr isn't fighting for him.

Hatton has only himself to blame.

As for Snr's misdemeanours and antics. Big deal, you know the man is hardly a professional and is a nutjob. Hatton should have been more professional about it and got on with the job.

Hatton's fault but Snr shouldn't get hired again either.

I'm sure mayweather sr didnt help, but lets be real. Hatton went down at basically the first significant punch of the fight. His chin is shot. Whether he went down in rd 1 or rd 5-6 is immaterial.

Yeah it pissed me off when they moaned that Manny shouldn't be celebrating wen Ricky's on the canvas.

                    1. Manny most likely didn't know Hatton was badly hurt.
                    2. If the roles were reversed they wouldn't have mentioned.
