          I agree its ridiculous that people are voting for Pac. It'd be between Yao Ming or Sachin Tendulkar. I'd think maybe the latter as not only do the billion people in his country live and breath the sport and worship him as a God, but also he is famous in all the other Cricket playing nations in the world as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Cricket is the second most followed sport in the world after soccer and there aren't many more famous sportsmen in the world than Tendulkar, period, from any continent.

                Depends upon what definition you're looking for.

                I'd say the BILLION followers Yao has puts him up first and foremost as far as popularity, not to mention the fact that Basketball has a much larger fanbase than boxing in general.
