sticking with graham would have meant keeping his old style up until now, but at least he would have lasted a little bit longer with pacman because graham would have said 'brawl and keep pressuring him', ricky didn't really pressure at all.

graham cared about ricky, he loved ricky, he would have died for ricky. they had a bond that was unconditional. mayweather sr is a son of a b*tch who is only in it for the money, he turned up 45 minutes before the fight, 3 hours later then scheduled, acted like he didn't care and as soon as ricky got k.o'd left the building. ricky's father himself said 'ricky wants to be loved' when referring to his personality, and graham loved him.
With Graham he would have lost to Malignaggi.Ricky was finished,he's a self seeking idiot who doesnt know how to treat people. He messed up with Floyd Mayweather Sr and decided not to listen to him,now look where his Englishness took him, straight to the hospital.

The bastard is such a fraud, how he managed to fool 25 000 fools to fly to Las Vegas is even a mystery

Does the thread talk about the pre fight intructions hatton supposedly had to move to his left?
The thread is about the overall advice and training Sr had given ricky and how ricky chose to ignore it. as you said, ricky was given instructions to jab and move to the left, he didn't do none of that. he was also told to move his ****in head, jab and keep his hands up. he didnt.

Apparently ricky said the plan for him was to move to his left a jab then smother. This is pretty much EXACTLY what I was saying he needed to do before the fight.

The way to beat to Pacquaio is to step around to your left and try and jab to make him lunge in, then counter. Hatton obviously isnt a counter puncher so he had to smother and close down after moving to the left, but the idea was there.

Mayweather Jr will know this, so will roger, wait till the end of the year for confirmation.
basic **** ......try to save that post my dude......I have a STRONG feeling you may have saw this fight already......I have to and we see it the same!!!

I'll tell you one more thing, If mayweather steps to his left against pac, he wont even use the jab unless he absolutley has to.

Mayweather doesnt jab because it can expose your rythym, you get these fighters that always pump the jab to control distance and score, but when you take that away from them, they have serious problems setting up, it also allows fighters to be read.

            Two examples

            1) Kelly Pavlik Vs Bernard Hopkins: Hopkins knew pavlik used the jab to set up, hopkins is an expert in taking the jab away with a parry, lateral movement, parry then right hand, and he also moves into range, then before the fighter gets set again, he moves out of range, meaning jab reliant fighters have problems getting set and setting up shots on hopkins.

            2) Glen Johnson Vs Chad Dawson: Chad constantly using the jab caused him more problems, because Johnson reead it and kept jabbing over dawson's own jab and landing. When Dawson lead with the left hand, different story.

I think Mayweather might move to his left and try and create distance with footwork, myabe fients, moving to the left allows him to straighten pac up with the Right hand lead, and mayweather will lead with it, not set it up off the jab. He may also pick the left hook if pac leans in.

But wouldn't Roach know Floyd would do that, thus try and counter THAT move and use different tactics ?

Who knows, Roach isnt the be all and end all, he couldnt stop De La Hoya losing to mayweather, he can only work with what he's given, Im hightly dubious over wether pacquaio can land lead right hooks on mayweather and duck his head down without any comeback.
