Good read. It is also a body of work to compile all these information. Thanks for these articles. It may be worth mentioning that in the latest fights, Pacman's opponents trained and claimed to be close to the best physical condition in their lives, starting their training camps earlier than usual.

Excellent, this time more power to you!!!

If not, the answer is that we are witnessing it in our time.

On Saturday night, with a frightening precision, the same Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KO) who came from behind on December 4, 1998, to knock out lineal and WBC World Flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul in the eighth round with a single punch, walked through lineal World Junior Welterweight champion Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO) in one second shy of six minutes. I praise u this time...What a very good display of expertise, an excellent analysis & point of views regarding knowledge of things...Manny's deserves to be talked about & crowned him the best for what ever he accomplished...We're lucky that we live at Pacquiao's era witnessing the shadows of the many all time greats who lived before...He made history...More power to you!!!

                a strange premonition

When Marquez called Mayweather out, many thought he was delusional. They figured ****y Jr wouldn't fall for it. But not me. I knew that the Marquez comeon has provided Mayweather a portal for his re-entry. In Junior's mind, there's no way Marquez could beat him. I thought likewise. The aging Dinamita fits perfectly for a tune up fight. On the day of Pacquiao-Hatton showdown, Floyd Jr announced his return and a July 18 faceoff with Marquez was signed and sealed to be delivered. It was then that I had this strange premonition that the Mex would pull an upset and beat the very arrogant Mayweather! So, it had to be Pacquiao and Marquez who'd be slugging it out in the final chapter of a long story! Half the world's population would certainly disagree with this, but the remaining half who have long been waiting for that moment-of-truth between Pacquiao and Marquez would be ecstatic. Anyway it goes, boxing stands to gain. Marquez won't be off the hook for a long, long time. Even if he gets past through PBF, the Pacman is right there waiting for him. If he was to fight Pacquiao now, he'd be knocked out in less than 3 rounds. Make it today or tomorrow or next year, the outcome will stay the same -- Manny is going to eat Marquez alive for his dinner!

Im rooting for Marquez to beat Mayweather..he is just the unshakeable nemesis of the Pacman..he always gets up whenever he's down..I dont want to go as far as saying that Pac would eat the Mex..Ive said that on his first and 2nd bout versus Marquez..But the Mex always prove me wrong..I am even more excited to see a third bout than the match against Money,,

Me too. It's going to be total war, and unlike the two rounder hatton, Marquez has very good defense. Irresistible force versus immovable body. Let's get it on!

Pac Man is an ATG. 4 lineal championships and one of the best KO's in my lifetime.

I think Marquez is a great fighter if he beats PBF, ATG if he avenges Manny. IF PBF beats Marquez, and Pac, he is great, if he also beats someone of note from his weight class for a change, he could be an ATG.

Thanks for the series Cliff, all excellent reads.
