Who needs who more?Pac or PBF?

Pac don't need Floyd, he's the smaller man and he's done wonders in and for the sport already. However a win over Floyd would put Manny on a very short list of true ATG fighters. Why, cuz Floyd is the undefeated, former P4P kingpin and a significantly larger fighter. Floyd does need Manny in order to secure his P4P status once again, but (and there is always a but) because Pacquiao is so much smaller than Floyd, a Gayweather victory would not be as significant as a Manny win. Everyone will just say that Floyd beat a smaller man (myself included).

considering that PBF has defeated far more ATG fighters IN THEIR PRIME, Pacman needs PBF more to secure a sense of legitimacy in his resume. Remember PBF is undefeated and Pacman has 3 losses, 2 embarrassing knockouts.

list the ATG fighters that he's beaten in their prime

I agree, People are forgetting that without wins over DLH, and Hatton, Pacman wouldn't even be considered ATG. Mayweather beat DLH and Hatton already, double standard anyone?

and yet if PBF beats a few good names (JMM to start) and retires undefeated, he'll still be considered greater than Pacman on ATG lists because he has the coveted 0 in the loss column and Pacman has 3 losses including two embarrassing KTFO.

In the same way Calzaghe is greater than Robinson because of the "0" right?

How about Hamed? He's got only a "1", so that makes him greater than Armstrong?

The whole reason Floyd came back was to fight Pacquiao in order to cement is legacy, even though it doesn't really even if he wins. Pacquiao has shown indifference about fighting Floyd and has many options right now. He doesn't need Floyd in the least.
