Thats not valid for Marquez who has shown no sign of slipping. His hands are still fast and he punches with conviction, this isnt an older version of Barrera, Marquez hasnt really shown signs of old. People are doubting him because they know Floyd is smart and has always under any circumstances gotten the W.

Because not everyone is a pacquiao and can move up in weight and feel comfortable. And Mayweather continues to hand-pick his opponents asking them to come up in weight. We all know it would be best for boxing if Mayweather did lose to Marquez but that isn't going to happen now, Marquez is too old and he was getting hit cleanly against Juan Diaz and Juan Diaz is no Mayweather. Mayweathers defense is far superior to that of someone like Diaz. And that was a close fight before Marquez KO'd Diaz. The weight will most likely affect Marquez in a negative way and his age can't help him.

Just burst onto the lightweight scene, and quickly disposed of the two best lightweights by knockout. He was also moving up to 140 anyway because he was done at 135 and he was chasing Pacquiao. Now he'll only jump 3-4 more pounds than he was going to originally to finally try to get that recognition he was always looking for in the shadow of Barrera and Morales.

To be honest they really arnt that much diffrent in size maybe 5-8 pounds of muscle and you guys forget the older a man gets the more bone density he gains.

Young JMM may have been to small but he looks just about right for 140 especially since he's shown so much power at Lightweight.
