Do you think Pacquiao has more power at 140 than he did in the lower weight classes?

He landed some serious bombs on Ricky, shots that would have KO'd just about anyone at 140 imo. I'm thinking Pacquiao's extra weight has suited him perfectly and made him an even stronger puncher.

Some guys lose power as they go up in weight, pacquiao seems to get stronger.

    Thoughts?

yes... he's a full grown man now. the reason why he was able to go from 98-148 successfully since he aged pretty well

To be honest, I think it has more to do with his improving fundamentals.

The wild shots he used to throw didn't pack as much power behind them IMO. He throws tighter punches now, they just seem so much more crisp and precise.

His progression as a fighter IMO has more to do with his power improving, I think the weight is more of a coincidence.

I think his power has increase with the weight. there's no othe way to explain it... pac couldn't have been punching like a middleweight at 126...

I think so. Dude has grown into a bigger frame and filled out well. He's naturally a puncher anyway, but speed and technique also make his power better.

The way he had Hatton holding on after a few punches told me that he had to be punching with some crazy power. I've seen Hatton take a beating and still fight through it but last night was something different.

You won't lose power going up in class its just the guys you're fighting are bigger and you're punch isn't as effective.Pac's KO punch is picture perfect against Hatton, his body is low and he turns his hips with the punch to put some nasty torque behind it.I imagine there aren't to many middleweights that would take that punch and keep going.

hes a natural puncher, but the polish freddie has added, plus his incredible speed and timing, and the added weight and strength he has gained as he has gone up in weight has made him a more devastating puncher IMO
