Pacquiao is currently #1 and Floyd has to earn it the way any other fighter would.

I voted no. He doesn't have to fight Pac to get this. If Mayweather beats Marquez then beat Cotto or Berto, then moved up to 160 and beat Strum or Pavlik, that would put him in the number one spot. Not that he'd do that, I'm just saying it's not the only way for him to regain the p4p #1 spot.

He has to beat a few good fighters to even get back in the top ten, he retired.
He should have to work from the bottom again, just because he was once p4p champ does not mean he automaticly gets his place back.

False, Pacman could lose to someone else while Floyd beats other impressive fighters impressively.

I think they need to fight but he can get it back in other ways, just the most direct way is a fight with Manny.
