Some boxing fans are idiots plain and simple

After Pacquiao won a linear title in another weight division the idiots are out saying Manny doesn't beat any top welters. Hello assheads!!! of course a guy that's at a disadvantage in size to most 135 and 140 lb'ers is obviously going to be too small for a true ww. Pac is an ATG no doubt but you don't have to beat every one from 106 - hw to prove you're an ATG. Why are people discrediting Pac for not fighting guys who are naturally bigger and stronger than him? Where were these idiot fans when SRL was champ of several divisions? Why was he never called out for not fighting Larry Holmes or Michael Spinks? Oh wait I know it's because back then the fans could appreciate a guy that can beat quality fighters and HOF'ers in several divisions in and around his natural weight. Get a clue people.

No reason not to let Pac enjoy his shine, unless you're a stan of 1 of his rivals.

The problem with some fans is that they hate Manny so much they constantly look for excuses as to why he's not an ATG. When JMM beat MAB fans were saying how great Marquez was but they refuse to give credit to Pac who even MAB admitted gave him his worse career defeat. When Manny KOed Morales twice again people called Erik washed up. When Pac beat the larger DLH again he beat a shell of a fighter. Manny destroys Hatton and hands him his worst loss ever and surprise surprise Ricky was supposedly a bum and washed up. You see the pattern here? Sometimes a fan can hate a boxer so much that no matter how good they are or how big they win all they see is hatred. I'm not a Floyd fan but I can admit he's a great fighter. I never liked RJJ that much but I will say openly that he was an ATG. Don't be idiots it's time to act like adults and give credit where it's due.

It's obvious that some posters here just became fans of boxing in the last year or so. I like certain fighters over others as my favorites but I will at least try to admit that they might lose or give credit when the other guy wins. I like Hatton but thought that Pacquiao was too good for him. After Pac won I was more concerned that Hatton was ok but Mayweather Sr. his own trainer leaves him and dips out.

As for Pac, he never gets credit for his wins and it seems like everyone wants to believe that Floyd is a boxing GOD. He is definitely one of the most talented guys out there but I don't like his character. I think that some of the younger posters here are entranced by Mayweather's thug/bad-boy/arrogant attitude. I find it weak and childish and non professional but to each his own. I am just thinking it is something that runs in the Mayweather family but it sure does sell. I like Pac's humbleness and religious dedication and think that he has the skills of an ATG. His accomplishments are incredible to say the least. His resume is eons above Floyd's IMO

I would disagree but that's because I myself was unsure of Floyd even after he beat Hernandez. The Manfredy win was a blow out and looked good but to me it was the destruction of Chico that convinced me that Floyd was a great fighter. He's a punk IMO and I don't like him personally but he's easily one of the best of this decade. I'd still rate Hop higher based on longevity, but the Floyd-Pac winner puts them above Hop after the fight and not before. As for Hatton he's a hype job that did well against lesser and older competition like DLH did but once he fought a true great he lost. No shame in that because someone has to lose at the end of the day.

Bah. I used to be angered by these haters but now I just feel sorry for them. Right here, right now they're witnessing a historical fighter, a true legend and an all time great. Still they are completely blind to it. It's truly sad to see them waste their time watching the sport. Why do they even bother....

Years from now, Pac's legend will only grow. To what extent? I don't know but if boxing pundits are already recognizing him as a historical fighter, he'd be nothing short of a myth with the passage of time. The people who recognizes his talent and achievements will be able to say "I was there when it happened". The haters simply won't matter.
