I am Rickys biggest fan, he has given us British fans some brilliant boxing nights and no matter what anyone says he was brilliant for boxing, not for a long long time will we see 25k fans travel to las vegas and create that sort of atmosphere.
It's sad that he had to loose in such a way, brilliant punch from Manny, perfect. However i hope he retires, he has nothing left to prove to anyone.
I'm not gonna lie, i really thought Hatton would ko manny, i never thought Pacman would ko him like that and it really was gutting to watch, the thing is ricky aint just a boxing champ, he's the peoples champ. Even if a english fighter comes along and goes unbeaten for 60fights while claiming every title in 5 different weight classes...he still wouldn't have the fans hatton does.
Freddie Roach, what a coach. I'm glad he was respectful to Hatton, after all the **** Floyd Snr gave him no-one could have blamed him for shouting his mouth off. That is a man who clearly loves his fighters and boxing itself.
Floyd Snr let me down. Not because Hatton lost but your attitude towards the whole thing, you spent most of your time trying to wind up Roach. Roach spent 2 hours every night for 2 months studying tapes of Hatton, could you imagine Floyd doing that? He couldn't even turn up to the ****ing fight on time!
You won't find any excuses from me, hatton or any hatton fans this time around. he was outclassed, i do not see why so many people on here have to be so disrespectful, i mean asking for pictures of his wife crying? wtf is all that about? i just do not understand that sort of rubbish, real boxing fans don't act like that, no-one who's ever stepped foot in a boxing gym would act like that.
Well done pac, great person and a great fighter. Can't wait to see you vs Floyd. Atleast now i'll be able to watch boxing without a worry lol, hopefully david haye will beat wlad as he's the only british boxer out there atm who the fans will take to.
