Hatton was in a GREAT condition for this fight. Sure his defence was non existant, but it's always been that way. Ricky was unbeaten at 140 and had been the king of that weight for years. Then Pacquiao comes in and makes him look like a complete amateur. He is the only fighter I have seen make Ricky fight on the back foot and push him back. All this from a guy who has never even fought at the weight before.

There is no way to overrate something like that..
Who has Hatton beat except Kosta?

Taking nothing away from Pac, he did what he was supposed to do vs Hatton and Oscar in amazing fashion. But come on. He struggled and arguably lost to a 35 year old JMM.

But yes, a Mayweather vs Pacman needs to happen to settle this..
I actually think Pac has a better chance vs Floyd than he does a Cotto or Mosley @ 147
If they meet at 140, Pacquiao KO's Marquez inside 6 rounds.

No matter what you think of Hatton, he ruled 140 for almost 5 years, was undefeated at the weight, fought some credible opposition, and is one of the tougher fighters in the sport. Pacquiao ended his reign in less than 6 minutes. In fact he's lucky to make it past the first round. It was the manner in which he did it that makes it special, seeing as his only defeat before this fight took 10 rounds of roughing up and wearing down before the KO happened. Manny almost put Hatton on a stretcher with some of the first punches he threw. Some of us thought he was seriously damaged from the finishing blow! The power in that shot was sickening.

Do you realise most fighters don't have one win let alone more than one against an undoubtedly great fighter and that one of these wins goes a long way to proving your credentials?

And you can't exactly overlook one win and simply say "Who has Hatton beat except Kosta?". If you were to overlook the majority of fighters greatest achievements their resumes' would suffer considerably. You can't just disregard big wins.

Oh I agree. It just seems that the idiots here will never give that credit. First comes the doubters about him fighting Diaz in the heavier weight, then a "zombie" DLH, and now a bum in Ricky. After beating them 3 in humiliating fashion, most of those haters are now gone but here comes the PBF nuthuggers even though the Pac/PBF fight has not been discussed. Guess not everyone can be satisfied. Oh well....

I think we can safely say at this point.. That Manny Pacquiao is not overrated.. In fact he is most likely the best boxer alive P4P ..
Mayweather's main strengths are hand speed and in fight adjustment.. I think Pac is faster, hits harder.. and Roach seems to come up with perfect plan for whoever Pac faces.. Thus negating somewhat what Floyd might do to adjust..
I have never picked anyone to beat Mayweather.. Not Cotto, Not Marg , Not Mosley.. But I think Pac would .. and emphatically

I can't ignore that no one has ever made Hatton look like an amateur, not even Mayweather. And Mayweather did say that Hatton gave him the toughest fight of his career. People need to admit the obvious fact: Pacquiao is just so good, he makes otherwise top-notch fighters look completely outclassed.

I have never seen anyone dominate on the level that Pac is and I believe just what Roach says.......skill for skill, he beats them all. He has not been wrong...Oscar can't pull the trigger, Hatton's chin is weak..we are going for the chin and the fight won't last 3 rds

I would hope that the proof is in the pudding and at some point people will concede to what they are seeing......he is the best P4P by far!
