    Rules of boxing?

Let me get this straight. In every sport there are rules that every participant needs to abide by. If a participant breaks those rules they get warned, fined or penalized right? I want to know how in the hell does Henry Aikinwande get disqualified for constantly holding Lennox Lewis in their fight, however, Ruiz is guilty of the same rule breaking in every one of his fights yet has never been disqualified in his career. Now tell me this, as a boxing fan, how can you get excited about anything this sport has to offer when you know that there will eventually be a scam that ****s a boxer who works their ass off to try and win. This decision has made me sick to my stomach.

I always wondered about the holding rule when I saw Lewis doing it during the first couple of rounds against Tyson and (forgive me) Ali doing it excessively in most of his later fights. I love Ali but isn't it cheating?

same reason why they still let Tyson fight after eating Holyflieds ear off and saying that he was going to eat LL childern.

Ruiz should be DQ and have his ass kick for getting such a lucky win, Donkey I ment Don King shouldnt treat J R like this, its not like he pulls in the money

The sport is already on a downward spiral, and I hope it even gets worse, ' cause eventually and I hope its not a bottomless well, but something has to give and new fresh blood will lead boxing in the right direction with new ideas so it will win old fans back as well as gain new ones.

mad dogs make good boxers agressiveness sells and it also weeds out some of the holding and *****footing around. one thing tyson did right. And with the higher knock out potential of the hw division an agressive fighter is what the division needs but who will it be? My point is a ref can make a fight not much of a fight but the sport depends on the competition not the refs and judges.

It's up to the ref to stop all the holding. It's funny how alot of people on here say that Ruiz should be penalized for holding but when the ref tries to stop a fighter from holding so much everybody jumps on him for doing his job. An example would be the Rocky Juarez/Zahir Raheem fight where Raheem was holding behind Juarez head throughout the entire fight and got penalized for it. I remember everyone saying how the ref was biased because he penalized Raheem for the holding.

I don't have the numbers in front of me and it's not like any of us will be able to gather such info from Don King. But Ruiz must generate a good enough profit for King to keep giving gift decisions to Ruiz, I mean why else would King give Ruiz all these opportunities?
