Listen, i agree with alot of this, i wanna see mayweather fight real welterweights if possible. However here's the deal, Mayweather skills wise is in another league to manny pacquiao, that's not to say Pacquiao cant beat mayweather, the most skilled fighter dont always win. What is does mean is pacman hasn't been in the ring with anything like a floyd mayweather jr. Mayweather isnt hatton, he isnt gonna rush pac hands down and he isnt going to be a corpse like oscar de la hoya, different ball game.

Personally, I think mayweather wants to fight pacquiao big time, huge money, in a fight which can enhance his legacy and a fight he will be the favorite in unless he loses or looks awful against marquez.

You can also say that PBF hasn't faced a fighter like Manny. I'm not saying Pac is gonna run over Floyd like he did Hatton either. It's gonna be a chess match and Pac has proven he can be very effective in a technical fight.

I think it all depends on wether mayweather can read him, I think manny will rack up the early rounds whilst mayweather tries to come to terms with the unorthodoxy of pac's style.

But let me say this, if mayweather can work him out with enough rounds to spare, pacman's gonna be in real trouble.

All that lunging in ****, leaving himself open after punches, I'd love to see how he can get away with that against a prime mayweather jr.

We can talk about whether Floyd could counterpunch Manny, or that Mannys volume could eventually crack Floyd's defense. But who knows?

One of the best posts Ive read. Manny beat a guy it was pretty clear he was gonna beat, but in a more destructive way than most thought possible. And Mayweather is a great fighter who can be hit especially by southpaws(see Corley, Judah). It would be a great fight, no doubt. Im sick of hearing how Manny is nothing compared to Floyd when Floyd has faced noone near Mannys level and vice versa.
