Do you guys actually think Pacquiao will be able to hit Mayweather consistently?

Let's just say Floyd is "back" to the version that fought Oscar or Hatton....and hasn't declined further.
If Pac fights Floyd the way he did against JMM, Floyd will win. However, Roach seemed to indicate in an interview a while back that they would be on Mayweather from the opening bell to test his stamina in through the course of the fight. If that happens, it will be interesting to see how Floyd reacts now. At 130-140, he could handle it, but I wasn't as sure as he moved to 147. His speed of hand and feet/agility also helped him in the lower weight class to counter when being blitzed...but can he still do that?
And has the move to 147, plus age and inactivity, decreased his stamina and possibly his resistance?
All the questions I would like answered and I think Pac can answer them. Williams could answer them for sure but good luck on getting that fight made.
I want Pac to push Floyd and go for the win. Floyd has had a lot of fights handed to him and I want him tested...more so now because he probably isn't at his best. I always hear that is the time when a fighter shows his true "greatness" so it's time to prove how "great" he is and says he is.
I'm not so sure he gets by Pac.
The best chance for Floyd is to show up hungry for the win and at whatever best he can be physically as well. I don't think he can start late in this fight and will have to fight from the early rounds on and break down Pac's body like he did Judah. Unless he thinks Pac will start to slow and tire by the mid-points and Floyd goes after the KO...but can he take that gamble?Last edited by Benny Leonard; 05-03-2009, 02:28 PM.Comment

Thank You, took the words out of my mouth!
Roach's tactics against Hatton worked as Hatton has no defense what so ever. Roach aint ****** enough to make Manny throw the shots he did at Hatton, at Mayweather.
I can gurantee Manny taking a lot more time against Mayweather, but throwing a lot of shots on the ropes. Similar to what Oscar did.Comment

He wont find Mayweather as easy to hit as he did Hatton, that's if Mayweather is the same fighter he used to be...Comment
