Why on earth did Hatton participate in 2 mega fights?

any body know? was it the promoters hyping him up trying to milk his name because of his popularity in the uk? because as a fighter, he should have never been in the ring with the #1's in the "biggest" fights. he could still contend against some top guys at 140 tho...i think?

It's simple. He has a big draw and had a misleading undefeated record. He had one big win. And his resume previous was a bit overrated.

Pacquaio is very lucky. If it wasn't for Hatton he wouldn't have made a career high payday last night. And now he can go on to make a lot more.

Boxing needs fighters like Hatton, more than Hatton needs boxing.

I'd say Hatton is very lucky that he has such an awesome fan base. Switch Hatton with Paul Williams and Williams is the biggest name in boxing, while Hatton is just another good fighter.
