I think at 147 Cotto takes it. I think his size, jab and bodywork would be abit much for the smaller Pacquiao to handle.

I don't like counting Pacquiao out in fights though. His handspeed is certainly a factor and gives him a good chance of winning imo.

His ring smarts are top notch.

Freddie Roach isn't in the ring its Pacquiao.
yeah true, but cotto doesn't study tapes like roach does.

roach crafted the perfect plan to exploit hatton's weaknesses and pac goes out and implements it.

that said cotto is too big for pac and its ta mismatch.

Cotto wins this by KO... he is just to big and powerful. Cotto is no Hatton.

This poll is a lot closer then I thought it was going to be.

But honestly, it really is this close of a matchup.

It slightly favors Cotto but Pacquiao is definitely in it to win it.

Cotto has glaring weaknesses, just like Pac.
All about the ability to exploit them, and Pac has a far better record
of sticking to gameplan (remember Cotto-Cheato?).

Pac by UD or TKO under 10.

I wonder how Cotto would fight this fight.

Would he be as calm and calculated as usual?

Would Manny try to jump all over him or would he understand what he was facing?

I think the first two rounds they would feel eachother out and both try to set there own pace.

But from the third round on I for some reason see wild exchanges and trading at the center of the ring. Possible knock downs on both ends.

But if Pacquiao can't KO Cotto early, as I've said 100 times already, its curtains for him.

It would be great if Pacquiao further cement his place in history and obtain wins over Cotto and Mosley at 147, but fighting these guys are really pushing it.

Mosley and Cotto are very skilled opponents and I just don't think Pacquiao has the skills advantage to offset the size advantage that these guys would have over him.

I wouldn't count Pacquiao out completely but his chances of winning wouldn't be very high either.

If he did take these fights, I would give him props though for having enough courage to try despite the odds.
