Pacquiao vs. Cotto By December, Says Bob Arum

After Manny Pacquiao's two round destruction of Ricky Hatton on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, promoter Bob Arum told reporters that Pacquiao's next fight will likely come against WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto in either November or December. He said Pacquiao will be in New York to sit ringside at Madison Square Garden for Cotto's fight against Joshua Clottey. [details]

Had a feeling this might happen, Arum looking to milk his cash cows against each other. Manny should go anywhere near cotto until he fights floyd, that way there are less excuses if floyd beats him. A fight with cotto could take something out of pacquiao even if he wins.

          Man, Arum really hates Floyd.

At any rate, Mosley said he wanted to fight Pac, but last night Freddie Roach said Mosley has to come to 140 for that to happen.

I would be surprised if Cotto took the fight at that weight. Remember how much trouble with weight Cotto had at the end of his 140 pound reign.

The way roach sounded he didn't want Pac to fight above 140.

i love cotto, but i don't like this for cotto. we'll see how things happen, i know cotto had trouble with judah's speed all day long... i don't see how cotto would handle pacquiao's any better.

well from how it looked, 140 is probably his best weight yet.

                  Cotto would seriously hurt Pacquiao.

he should fight mayweather first, there is more money involved, plus we all know mayweather wont knock pacquiao out, if he has a chance it might be by decision,
so even if he loses he can then fight cotto, but if pacquiao loses to cotto than we will more than likely see cotto vs pbf, right now pacman vs pbf is the interesting match-up
