    Former World Champion Ricky Hatton

I feel that Ricky Hatton should now retire. He has won four different World titles at two different weight divisions, but he will clearly now never become the greatest fighter on Earth or retire an undefeated great like Calzaghe, so what is the point in him continuing? Also, if he performs like he did last night one more time he could end up with serious brain damage. I cringed every time he took a massive head shot and I cringed well over ten times.

I have been saying for a couple of years now that he is past his best and that his lifestyle of excessive Guiness and pastry consumption would ensure that he would not have the longevity of British greats such as Joe Calzaghe and Lennox Lewis.

On a side note, what happened to this new defensive Ricky Hatton that Floyd Mayweather Senior assured us all that we would see?

By the way, just want to say that Pacman was magnificent and deserves all the credit in the world.

I didn't like it when he celebrated wildly after Ricky had fallen on his head, though.

Pacman is currently a far superior fighter and it is time we admitted that.

          yup.

As the original poster said, if he carries on fighting in that manner, he will eventually be damaged irreparably.

                Hahaha.

To be fair, the behaviour of Manny and his boys was not particularly endearing to me, considering that Hatton was semi-conscious for at least a minute and a half.

He was just jubilant that he had beaten a top fighter with relative.

                  Would you not be elated?
