Is there any trainer that can improve Hatton?

Main problems in the fight against Pacquaio -

    - No head movement/ Easy target

    - Hands kept at neck level/ Little defence

    - Rushing in/ Not fighting at a steady pace

    - Not using his jab/ Unable to create opportunities for himself

    - Throwing the jumping left hook/ Manny had it timed to perfection

After all that time spent in the gym, you would have thought Mayweather could teach Ricky to keep his hands up. Against a southpaw, who has a deadly left hand, keeping your hands at neck level is not an option. I'm not sure whether Rickys inability to stick to a gameplan was down to 1) Mayweathers unprofessionalism in training, 2) Incapability to learn/ stuck in his ways, or 3) Just didn't want to. It was quite clear from the opening bell that nothing about Hatton's style, or gameplan had changed. As Roach said, he was the same old Ricky Hatton.

Now, is there a trainer out there who can make Hatton listen to instructions, and follow orders? Someone who can really make a difference in his style? I got the feeling Hatton didn't respect Floyd. Even in the Mallignaggi fight, Hatton questioned Floyd's tactics and approach. Is there a trainer who will make him listen?

I have one person in mind, but I don't think it would be possible...you know who I'm talking about. If he can't get him, then Hatton should retire.

Yes, Floyd Sr was the guy to do that. Too bad Hatton wen't back to his old self, Mayweather Sr isn't to blame

Nope to late. Hatton needed a trainer that was going to accentuate his strenghts and not try to turn him into a cutie.

NO, He just met the only guy who could

I think Hatton and others don't like Floyd's attitude. He is the type of guy to tell you when you're doing something that's ******. He'll just say it. He doesn't hold his tongue, so emotionally he's not gonna come off like a friend, but he is like a militant father figure, in that if you listen you'll see the fruit in what he's trying to show you, and let's face it, what Sr. tries to teach is common sense.. DEFEND YOURSELF. You take Sr. out of the equation for this fight and you have some soft spoken guy and Ricky's without even a tip on how to be different. trying to apply head movement and using a jab is common sense when you have an opponent who is too quick for you if you swarm empty handed.

What's Hatton's alternative if he doesn't take Mayweather's advice? How does he get on the inside if he's not giving any kind of fake to Manny? He gets beat up even faster if you ask me.

I dont think even Freddie Roach can help Hatton right now, just what Freddie said, Hatton always comes back to his old style. He cant adjust in the middle of the fight, the best thing he could do his try to get a fight in PBF and JMM loser.
