Hatton was not "washed up" and MANY people were convinced he would win.It was pretty 50/50 in terms of who would win,in fact if you think about advantages-Hatton had many.With your theory,Manny SHOULD have been washed up since he has been in heaps of wars himself-against higher rated fighters than Hatton's opponents.Let's not dismiss what Manny had done tonight-he accomplished what few have done-make history.
Now against Floyd Mayweather,I would think if he gets rid of the ring rust by the Marquez fight,he should be able to win a decision against Manny (maybe-if the pre-retired Floyd is back),but I refuse to count Manny out-he is simply amazing and a true credit to this sport.It may be a VERY long time until we see another fighter like Manny.
I do however,feel bad for Ricky.He seems like a decent guy and he really got f..cked up.I hope he doesn't stay in the sport long as he looked horrid after this ko.The only competitive fight I can honestly see him in is with Junior Witter or De La Hoya (if he came out of retirement-which I doubt).
