Of course he's planning to fight Pacquiao. Why else would he hold a press conference on the same day of his fight? Why else would he fight Marquez?

Too much money in this for him to reject it. This fight will happen.

Perhaps he held the press conference on that day since he knew every single boxing media outlet would be in town to cover the fight, and to steal some shine from Pacquiao and Hatton.

I guess the reason he'd fight Marquez is because Marquez has shown his greatest vulnerability against boxers/counterpunchers like Chris John, Freddie Norwood, Barrera. Once you get a counterpuncher taking chances and leading (which will invariably happen since Mayweather isn't at all an aggressive fighter), they negate their greatest strength, which is timing.
