No it doesn't detract from the fight tonight in any way. Floyd is a washed up retiree until he proves otherwise in the ring, and he's fighting "Second Prize" Marquez 20 lbs north of his best weight. Assuming that Mayweather produces the goods against Juan Manuel the Oompa Lumpa then there might be some half decent speculation later.
