or is it because he's fighting Floyd? Seriously, I dont get that. Floyd was trying to jump from 135 to 154 to fight Oscar, he then tried it again at 140. Williams just went from WW to MW. RJ went from MW to LHW, to beat the HW champ. Mosley jumped from LW to WW to fight Oscar. This stuff happeneds all the time. Hopkins went from MW straight to LHW to fight Tarver yet its not a big deal until its JMM & Floyd. JMM started off just 4 pounds lower then Floyd at FW. He just KO the 2 top LW"s and was going to 140 anyways. Pac only had 1 fight at LW against a bum and jumped 2 whole divisions to WW to fight an Oscar who was fighting full time at 154 and was big at that weight. JMM had 2 fights at LW, against 2 studs, and is jumping up not even to WW to fight a guy who hasnt had one fight where he's came in 2 pounds over the WW limit. How is this an unfair fight? Why should he make excuses? Come on now.
Then people look at the pics and make it seem like Floyd is a monster compared to him. 1st off pics always look different from different angles. On some of them JMM actually looks bigger than Floyd. Then you have Floyd wearing a beater thats always going to make you look bigger and he's dark skin which is always going to make you look more cut and is why body builders always get tanned before an event. Floyd is coming down to 143 for this fight. Name one other WW that could do that. None of them can. Roach just asked Mosley to do it and he couldnt. Furthmore, lets have a press conference right now with Floyd & Margarito and see what those pics look like. It will look much further apart then Floyd-JMm. Let Floyd-Williams or Floyd-Cintron stand next to eachother. Let Cotto or Clottey & Floyd stand next to eachother with there shirts off. Look at Juanama & Penosla next to eachother but no one said that was bad. All these fighters do it all the time and there is never a problem until JMM is trying to do it with Floyd. People are trying to make it sound like Floyd is picking on little guys and they always talk like he's done it a bunch of other times? He never has. The only 1 that people even talk about is Hatton and that is so false. Hatton is the little guy when he started at 140 and Floyd started at 130? Hatton is the little guy when he walks around at nearly 200 pounds and is 155 on fight night? So what Floyd fought at WW. He had a fight at 154 also, does that make him bigger than Cotto? No, so how can you consider the Hatton fight him picking on a little guy. Its like he gets penalyzed for being so good. He couldve never moved up and stayed at LW. Would people then be saying that this fight is a mismatch. He's just the only one who's capable of moving up, staying small, and still beating good big guys so he gets penalyzed for it like he's some huge monster but he's not. He's just a little guy who's good enough to beat the big guys. If he fights guys near his own weight then he will destroy them and it looks so bad that people have to say that he's cheating. Then they cry when he's pot shotting against the big guys. The bottom line is that JMM is not special. He's not doing anything that a ton of other guys in boxing have done in the past and recently and no one has made a big deal about until just now. It happeneds all the time. Thats why he's doing it. Everyone thought all those fights were good fights and that the underdog had a very live chance and the underdog ususally somehow manages to win all these fights. This fight is the least of all of them but people act like its the biggest difference in size
