Will Mayweather vs Marquez be as big a Super Fight as Pacquiao vs Hatton?

Pacquiao vs Hatton is a HUGE fight and event. It is an international event. It is an Oscar De La Hoya type of fight with the attention of main stream sports media.

Can Mayweather vs Marquez create the same hype, not only among boxing enthusiasts like ourselves, but with the everyday casual fans of the sport and the main stream media?

Will Floyd vs JMM be as big a Super Fight as The Battle of East and West?

HBO/Golden Boy can make any fight a super fight, and you know with HBO on PBF's jock, better believe they'll hype this fight up to the max.

For the true boxing fan, its gonna be bigger. For the casual fan, it won't. But we all hardcore fans know that Floyd/Marquez is way better than watching Pac batter weak ass Hatton all over the ring.

It will be different. Hatton fans are one of a kind they really add tons of flair to an event.

They will have to take a slightly different route promoting it, but I think it will be just as large (I know Denzel will come out to see Floyd fight that has to count for something).

i don't think so... pac/hatton has UK, Phillipines, and american audiences.

jmm/floyd will just have american and mexican audiences.

                  LMAO at this Floyd stan!

You mean Pacman vs. Hatton is a mismatch and Floyd/JMM is not? GTFO!

It wont be as big as Pac and Hat, but nevertheless it will still be awesome. Because its to find out who is the best p4p in the world. Good rivalry at around this weight class. Almost like Duran, Leanord, Hearns and Marvin again.

It is PBFs first comeback as well. So to gauge how well he does against someone of JMMS calibre is a good yardstick of where PBF is. He got too much help to beat Hatton IMO. And Hatton is PBFS biggest name on his CV
