Yep. Don't know if the Ring would have their belt on the line if Pac faced Mr boat buyer at a catchweight and not actually at 140 tho.

You gotta love the hypocrites and double standards. Ricky fights a smaller guy in Pac and all we get are threads about how Ricky's a bigger fighter, don't count him out, he's the stronger guy...then Floyd signs to fight a smaller guy in JMM, and all we get are threads about how Floyd's a *****, Floyd should fight ____ (throw in a random WW name), blah blah blah, oh ****, end of the world, the apocolapyse is coming, Floyd's not fighting my guy, cry cry cry whine whine whine.

          FLOYD JR. OFFICIALLY UNRETIRES

Mayweather-Marquez confirmed for July 18th in Vegas

Press Release: Sixteen months after one of the greatest fighters ever to grace the sport of boxing had his last fight and subsequently announced his retirement, the former 130-, 135- and 147-pound world champion, Floyd "Money" Mayweather announced his return to the sweet science at a press conference today in Las Vegas. (Mayweather has also won alphabet titles at 140 and 154 pounds, making him a five-division champion). When I made my decision to retire last year, I felt like it was time for me to go as I had been boxing my whole life and felt like I had done all that I could do," said Mayweather, one of the sport's biggest attractions. "But after I had time to rest, enjoy life with my family and friends, I started to miss the competition and my fans. I am ready to return to boxing and give people another dose of the Mayweather experience." Mayweather makes his return against the dangerous former 126-, 130- and 135-pound champion, Juan Manuel Marquez, who is rated among the top fighters in the world today and is a very aggressive selection by Mayweather for his first challenge after his long layoff. The bout will take place on Saturday, July 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcast live on HBO pay-per-view. "I am not wasting any time with a tune-up fight," said Mayweather

He is the #1 PPV star, not fighter. Get it right.

He lost his "throne" when he retired.

He needs to earn it back.

Floyd needs to stop thinking he is the king of boxing.

He is boxings spoiled brat with only child syndrome.

              It's disgusting.

The best have to fight the best to prove themselves.

Do you consider Marquez as the #2 pound for pound fighter in boxing?

actually there's not a double standard because pac is a better boxer than hatton, while floyd is a better boxer than jmm.

now that floyd is back, i'd say pac and floyd are co-regents as p4p #1.

Exactly, man. I don't understand why people are getting so bent out of shape. This is such a fun prospect to me.

I heard the fight is at 143. Even a catchweight of 143 means it's a welterweight fight.
