Why Won't The Brits Quit Singing The Ricky Theme Song

Even Hatton said after the Floyd fight he is sick of hearing, it takes away from the HBO broadcast, because they are so loud and recurring thats its hard to enjoy watching the fight, I cant believe they let them bring drums in there either.

Got a link to where Hatton says that?

I don't find it annoying I think it adds to the fight and creates a great atmosphere.

I think he said it in the post fight interview in the ring. Either then or right before or after the fight, I remember him saying it was getting old or something to that extent.

British people are mental about sport. I was in a few pubs today and the volume from people just shouting at the football (on the screens) was so loud and I could hardly hear myself at times. We went to a different pub (Irish) and there were people shouting at the rugby. It was cool though because it was all good natured. Sometimes it can turn nasty though and all that passion turns into violence. I don't get it anymore myself. I used to love football, but I just think what's the point now - your team may just win one season but then its starts all over again - care about your own life not someones elses (who gets paid a huge amount of money to play sport).

However I do love boxing and big fights like Manny/ricky do get me excited - it would be a bit annoying if I was there - esp with a trumpet in your ear., but I like to see it on TV. I think the crowd can sometimes be a detriment to Hatton - like it makes him more careless and he just drives forward regardles.

I think it brings the most electric atmosphere to a fight, any fighter would love to have fans like that. I say keep doing it!

              Because we're ****ing mental!

"Let's go ****in' mental, let's go ****in mental...na na na na, na na na na"

It's what we do, at football matches, it's all about chanting, enjoying yourself. Our support isn't for entertainment, it's a passion.

For once I agree with you but there won't be too much singing in this one unless they start cheering for Pac.
