That's so lame it's funny.
140 was Pac's target... Hatton specifically before DLH jumped in dangling his 10-figure carrot. Pac risked himself just for one fight at welter against a big guy who almost everyone said was going to pulverize him. It's just like Floyd did against Oscar at 154 and JMM is doing now with Floyd. What Floyd's doing now is following Oscar's footsteps... which is pickin on midgets.
JMM hasn't fought above 135 his entire career. How hard is that to understand? We're talking about a former p4p for his first test...lol.Comment

again, you say this as if floyd was a natural 147 pounder. he's not. the fights not even at welter. hello? floyd fought AROUND the same weight as jmm for a while early in their careers so just because floyd moves up in weight earlier than jmm that means he is now picking on midgets. Oscar and floyd fought near each others weights also for a time, so you are honestly gonna say that because floyd waited till later to move up to fight oscar that oscar was picking on a midget? rrrrrright. nice try thoughThat's so lame it's funny.

That's too simplistic a way of looking at it.again, you say this as if floyd was a natural 147 pounder. he's not. the fights not even at welter. hello? floyd fought AROUND the same weight as jmm for a while early in their careers so just because floyd moves up in weight earlier than jmm that means he is now picking on midgets. If Floyd's not a natural 147-pounder like you say and has a problem with that, then he should just move back down. Like I asked in another thread: WTF is he doing there? If he has no intention of fighting the top welters he has no business staying in that division.
But you know, the truth is he has outgrown 140. He's now more of a natural welter at this stage than you realize. Natural weights don't remain constant throughout a fighters career because like anybody else they undergo changes in their physiology with age. That's the weight he wants to fight at so that's where he belongs... fighting 147-pounders. He can't use an excuse like "I'm a small welter so I can pick on bloated lightweights." That's pathetic.
JMM was a career featherweight. Floyd is bigger than him and began his pro career at 130 so he's more suited going to higher divisions than JMM is able to. JMM's pushing his luck going 140. You see, that's the difference. It's called growing into a higher division. Oscar obviously has grown into 147 and up and even campaigned as high as 160. Floyd was still young that he hadn't even acclimatized himself at 147. That's why he was taking a big risk fighting Oscar who already established himself at 154 by that time.
JMM has yet to fight above 135 and he's what... almost 36? He has reached the limit of his size to achieve his best fighting form.Comment
