          Same ****, different day.

          "Why couldn't Pacquiao KO Oscar?"
"Why couldn't Pacquiao KO Diaz sooner?"

Maybe because he wasn't going for a KO? Think about it. Pacquiao moves up to 147 from 135. He's at a weight he has never fought at, facing a naturally bigger guy. To land the heaviest shots you can throw, you need to stop moving around so much, set your feet and put full leverage behind your punches. Is it really wise to stand there throwing the heaviest shots you can (which opens you up and makes you vulnerable to being countered) or is it better, when facing naturally bigger opponents, to use mobility, foot speed, and clusters of fast punches?

Do you not think Oscar was ready to go in the next round? They pulled him out because they saw him possibly being KO'd.

Try throwing heavy shots with all your weight behind them while constantly moving or being ready to dodge out the way.

Pacquiao had the perfect game plan for heavier opponents. He executed it perfectly, and be honest -- most likely you never gave Manny a chance. It was a fight most people said was a mismatch. Give the guy his props for even having the balls to take the Oscar fight. Hatton was too scared to take it.

When you are a little guy who came from 106lbs and spent most of your career way below Welterweight, you don't go into the ring expecting to blast people out. You play a smart game. That's exactly what Pacquiao did. Who has ever KO'd Oscar? Hopkins. That's all. Oscar has a great chin and is used to being hit by much larger guys than Pacquiao.

a never questioned the diaz fight....oscar was gone by the 2nd round,im not disagreeing with mannys fight plan at a higher weight simply stating tht he wont be in with a weight drained fighter 2nite so lets see how he does,i like pacman but i also like oscar and hatton...u have 2 view it from other angles
