Bet On a Journeyman One Day

I was just watching Tyson/Douglas on ESPN Classic. This fight took place at the beginning of the 90's, a similar upset happened at the beginning of the new century in the Lewis/Rahman fight. I am in no way a boxing historian so I am not sure but if an upset like those two happened in the early 80's I'm sure some of you know or remember it. It may be a cliche but cliches are such because there is truth to them and I think this cliche, "history repeats itself" is an apt one. If Wlad in June beats Haye which I think he will, I see few great challenges in the immediate future into the next decade for him. If the pattern of history repeating itself has any merit Wlad or whoever is the man at HW during the early part of the next decade will be beaten by some journeyman underdog who almost everyone counted out. I am going to watch out for something like this and maybe make a bet the next time in the next couple years someone doesn't watch the current HW championship fight because it is going to be an easy blowout for the champ.....just something to think about.

Wlad has already been knocked out by three journeymen in his career

That's why I love Hopkins fights. He's always a 3/1 underdog at least, I dunno WHY, but it always works out in my favor. I collected 2.5K on his fight with pav thanks to those absurd odds. I just think, mannnnnnn what if I bet on like Rahman by KO against Lewis? Those odds were like 20:1!

If your not parlaying, or willing to bet the toss up fights, the money is in upsets. But, you have to see something, you can't just blindly go about it. Right now, as much as I think Pacquiao is going to win, putting the money down on him is a bit of a risk, because he's that much of a favorite. Though, I wouldn't critisize those that slap it down for him.. Picking him to win by any kind of stoppage is at a +115, much smarter bet.

Hatton is a live underdog, and he has some advantages and so does Pac so anyone could have valid reasons to bet on either man. I'm talking about a 30-1 underdog who even the champ is just taking lightly and an ideal scenario would be if said champion has had things easy for a long time.
