    beating the number 1 p4p fighter doesn't make you auto number 1. i guess ruiz was fighting to become the pound for pound best when he fought roy jones jr. too bad he couldn't win so the world would explode.

      I think the reason it is on the line is because the top two places are held by Pacquiao and Marquez. If Hatton beats Pacquiao surely he is going to be put in front of Marquez, the guy who lost to Pacquiao. So wherever Marquez is on the list, there is an argument that Hatton should be ahead of him. Marquez happens to occupy the number 2 position and Ricky has an opportunistic moment to win the P4P title.
