Jamie Moore is expects Ricky Hatton to carry on blazing a trail for British boxing and beat Manny Pacquiao.
The Salford southpaw has his own fight to deal with first, when he defends his European crown against Roman Dzuman in the Sunderland leg of the Sky Box Office bill.
But he will be glued to his television in the small hours of Sunday morning to see his pal and fellow Mancunian Hatton go for glory again amid the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas.
And for Moore, the Hitman has become an example for fighters from these shores to follow, friend or not.
"It's not just a world-title fight, it's a massive event - and that's like the next level after a world title," he told Sky Sports.
"Even when winning the world title there are still goals and ambitions to have beyond that and I just don't want to be world champion, I want to be involved in the big fights like that.
"Fingers crossed, I can win the world title and put myself in a position where I'm in massive fights like Ricky's been involved in. That would be fantastic."
Southpaw
Moore also believes Hatton's inspiration will rise because he is going to beat Pacquiao.
He may be the underdog with the bookies, but knowing him as he does, he believes that mentally and physically the Hitman will have too much for the fighter rated the best in the business right now.
"I've got a really good feeling about this style-wise, I know he's a southpaw and a lot of people struggle with them, but if Ricky gets back into using his brain like he did last time, I have no doubts he is going to be in great shape and I can see their being an upset," he said.
"I really see Ricky being too powerful. Pacquiao came up through the weights and it's not as if he has fought anybody as physical as Ricky.
"He fought Diaz as a lightweight stepping up in weight but he didn't pose nearly as many problems as Ricky will. I think Ricky will be too much for him, I really do."
