There is too much talk on the trainers at the moment. We should all be placing our attention on the fighters.

Joe Calzaghe had Enzo is his corner for his whole career, yet he turned into one of the worlds top boxers. There is too much emphasis on the trainers impact. Yes, they are important, but no trainer can turn a bad fighter into a skilled world champion. There needs to be that skill, drive, and determination present in the boxer to begin with. Then the trainers can get to work.

Certianly the trainer has a bit of impact on how the fighter does but he isnt in the ring on the night. It all comes down to who wants it more, Hatton or Pacman. And Hatton wants it bad

Sr hasn't had long enough to work with Hatton to make that much difference at this point, and let's be honest, Ricky has 20 in long arms and doesn't have near the athleticism of Floyd jr, so what exactly is Sr going to try and teach him anyway?

Trinidar Sr. is the dumbest trainer to ever make it to the big time. He got lucky his son was so good and when so far with only his natural ability because he sure as hell didn't teach him anything. This old fool will be proven wrong again tomorrow when Pac beats the crap out of Ricky.
