they can't even get the stories straight.

1st it was manny ran away because he wanted to get a job to help his family , then it was he ran away because his dad ate his dog.

before i always here he sold stolen cigarettes on the street to survive , now lately the story is he sold donuts. (some producer probably thought it'd be bad to say he sold cigarettes or something. lol)

If you click on the link of the source, at the end of the article there's a link where Freddie Roach tells the story himself. His dad ate the dog, Pac ran away, and Manny had to live in a cardboard box and would buy donuts at a donut shop and resell them for a nickel more.

LOL... I was j/k.

I agree though. The truth gets mangled in these reports/articles, sometimes in the actual broadcasts especially with Lampley doing the backgrounders ("Gen. Cebu City," "stolen cigarettes," etc.) but I think we do get the correct idea that Pac had a rag-to-riches story.

Actually, he wasn't limited to selling just donuts.

I got put in the hole one time when I was locked up. Then they moved me to this other hole where it would be 3 guys next to eachother. My next Cellie was a Vitenamese dude and he called home one day and asked about his dog. He got off the phone and told me that his family ate his dog. He said that they wont admit it but he knows they did by the way they were talking. He said that its very common in Vietnam. Thats why this story isnt shocking to me. I guess you have to do what you got to do when youre poor
