The majority of people thought the exact same thing when he fought Pavlik, who fought on even terms with Taylor before putting him to sleep, and unlike Froch can block a punch, and we all saw what happened to him.

Hopkins vs Froch-another boxing clinic and possible KO. Hopkins wins this easier than he did against Pavlik. Pavlik at least blocks.Taylor put him on his butt,and Hopkins has a stronger right.
Carl's defense and stance has been the same his whole career and at his age,his style should have progressed by now-at least his defense.Hopkins would batter the easily hittable Froch. Even IF Froch could hit Bernard flush,Carl would find out Hopkins is more durable and has a stronger jaw.
Hopkins also tends to be an expert in destroying people who have never been defeated.
