Roach: I asked Shane if he could come down to 142 to fight Manny and he said no!

Roach wants all these full sized welters, who are active, to come down below 147. He did the same **** with MargaritoComment

What an opportunist, trying to get Mosley to do a De La Hoya. See, this is why I want Hatton to win, SSM vs Mayweather would be easier to make once that little fly and his roach are out of the picture. Hatton can stay at 140 and fight Pacquiao in a rematch or have a farewell fight at Wembley against Khan or Bradley or even Campbell(Khan makes more $en$e though).Comment

Please man, Mosley is more of a challenge than Pacquiao. Besides, everyone's bitching about Floyd needs to fight a WW, so now if he doesn't fight Pacquiao he's ducking him? I'm quite sure you'll still hate if Mayweather beats up Pacquiao.Comment

Like I said many times before: I understand Freddie's logic in wanting to get fighters to be dead for the fight, but I don't agree with him. He did this with Morales which was the first fight with Roach I bitched about his tactics. Third fight I'm talking about. I wasn't paying attention if Morales had any complaints with that.
Roach even said he wanted Floyd at a catch-weight because he wanted to take something out of him for the fight. He wanted him to work for it.
Basically, if Manny doesn't have to fight a person that is alive, all the better.
I wonder what's worse to people: Asking a fighter to move up, which gives the fighter the option to come in at a weight that suits him or coming down in weight where there is more risk in looking "flat" or "dead."
To me, a healthy fighter still has a better chance at winning.
Bottom line: Roach wants Mosley only if he is dead.Comment

I say I understand it because in War, you are allowed to think the way Roach thinks...but in boxing, I don't agree with it.
You get to choose what type of person you want to be, and Roach chooses to follow this path.
Freddie Roach is Commodus
