Corrales was one in a million.

It depends on what you mean by "good".

If by that you mean a masterful boxer, with a tight defense, and an iron chin ; Then no, Chico wasn't good.

But if by "good" you mean a prety solid boxer, who loved to scrap, always gave it his all, always got up and dug deep, and gave us some of the most exciting moments in boxing in the last decade?

Then yes, Chico was very good.

R.I.P. Chico. We still miss you, man.

Only losses in his prime to Mayweather and on a cut to Casamayor...wins over Castillo, Casamayor, Freitas...he was damn good.

Chico left everything in the ring each time he fought. A warrior and a gladiator who would fight to the death. He was from another era and would have been an all time great in the bareknuckle age and in the early days of boxing. Took on all comers, the mofo.

He fought in one of the best lightweight eras and fought the top fighters in the division - PBF, Freitas, Casamayor, JLC, Manfredy, etc.,.

Ironically, I became a fan not on a win but in the lopsided loss to PBF. It is one of the most courageous things I've ever seen.

IMHO, Chico was a great fighter.
