What i can't quite understand?........ Please read!

Emmanuel Stewards been complimenting Hatton's footwork the last 2 years saying how he has one of the best feet in boxing etc etc.

But Roach continues to say how bad Hattons feet are and how Pac will take advantage of Hattons poor footwork? He said he tangles his feet up when he defends punches.

What the **** is going on? This ****s been on my mind the past few weeks.

I always thought Hatton had poor footwork, i mean the guy walks straight in to shots and i hardly ever see him dazzling opponents with great footwork?

i think people are confusing fast feet with good footwork

as far as i can see Hatton rushes straight in, just a bit quicker than most pressure fighters

it often leads to him smothering his opponent's and his own punches too, and makes for his signature ugly fights

I think you nailed it, my friend. I don't think his footwork is abysmal by any means, but if you're going to praise hatton for something, there are clearly other aspects of his game which are much stronger points for him.

If you actually watch Hatton's fights, particularly the first half of the Urango fight, the first few rounds of the Mayweather fight, the Tackie fight, most of the Lazcano fight and all of the Malignaggi fight to give you a few examples, you'll see him using very fast feet and very nice lateral movement to set up his punches.

He has some of the best footwork in the fight game. This idea of him walking straight into punches is quite simply nonsense.

It should be pointed out that "good footwork" does not equal "running away" so whil Bernard Hopkins may have better footwork overall I think Hatton quite possibly has the best offensive footwork in boxing at the moment.

The only people with better footwork that Hatton are the ones who fight primarily defensively.

Because Roach knows that Hatton's footspeed is what could possibly lead him to victory against Pacquaio.

Compared to me, Hatton has good footwork. I don't have a trained eye but I think Hatton has some really good fast little feet. I on the other hand stumble and trip a lot :lmfao: I got better when I began to use weights on my feet and we added more cushion to the matt which has helped improve my stability but I cant move like Hatton that's for sure. I think I have two left feet or something :lmfao:
