Paul Williams vs. Allan Green @168

Green released a PR today on G. Leon's website saying if the deal with Bute doesn't work out, and he can't get one of the other 168 titleholders in the ring, then he's willing to take on "the most feared man in boxing", Paul Williams.

Green said if PWill is willing to move up and take on Calzaghe (which he said post-Winky fight, I think), then there is no reason he couldn't fight some of the best at 168.

Who takes this fight and why?

Does nobody else think Green can get to Williams and put the hurt on him?

I haven't seen PWill dazed and he looks like he has a pretty good chin but he hasn't faced anyone with the power of the hammer of Thor.

          Williams KO1 Green.

....but seriously, Green should pick on people in his own weight class. I don't care how good Williams weight could fluctuate up and down, he was only fighting at Welter a few years ago dammit. I want Williams/Pavlik, but i don't see it happening.

Allan Green at 100% equals an easy KO over Williams.

I want to see Paul Williams vs Pavlik or Abraham. OR I want to see Green vs one of those too. Simple reason, boxing will move forward. Green fights Williams, both will get low pay and no fame. The loser of this fight will be left to obscurity whereas if one of them loses to Pavlik for instance, they will have Abraham wanting to fight them because Abraham wants Kelly. Look at what happened to Taylor after 2 losses to Pavlik and a lackluster performance vs Lacy: He gets to be the main event in a battle with Froch..

Another Knockout victory for Paul Williams, but i think he needs to stick to one division and clear it out, he definitely has the skills.

Hard to argue that Green shouldn't be calling out Williams, except for the fact that Williams has offered to move up in weight for big fights. Unfortunately Green doesn't qualify as a "big fight."

And as far as I'm concerned, if they can make it at a catchweight like 164, game on. As long as they both make weight, they're the same size, right? At least that's what I always heard from Williams' fans when he was fighting at WW.
