best fighter oscar de la hoya ever faced?

Someone needs to ask him this, really... so if anyone gets the chance to interview him please bring this up.

i mean jesus, if anyone can tell us who the top fighter in the last era was it's him.

    chavez 91-1-1, 100-2-2
    whitaker 40-1-1
    quartey 34-0-1
    trinidad 35-0
    mosley 34-0,38-2-0
    vargas 22-1-0
    hopkins 44-2-1
    mayorga 27-5-1
    mayweather 37-0
    pacquiao 47-3-2

it gives me chills just thinking about all the great fighters he's fought, people give him crap for losing the big fights but he won half of them and was unlucky not to get decisions in his losses too.

so question, who do you think the best fighter oscar ever faced was?

He did fight plenty of great fighters throughout his career something rarely seen today, but personally I would say Whitaker would be the best he fought.

That's why people who don't respect DLH are complete idiots.

            I think he had a great resume and these are some decisions I thought went good or bad for him;

            #1 - He beat Trinidad

#2 - He beat Mosley in their second fight

#3 - He lost vs Sturm

#5 - He was up on the score cards against Hopkins until he knocked out.

#6 - His performance against Mayweather was brilliant considering he was 35 yrs old vs the best pound4pound fighter in the world.

ODLH fought the best, and became an up-and-coming promoter. What disturbs and bugs the hell outta me are the ****phobic remarks. Love or hate the man, he gave to his community, gave other boxers a chance to fight him. Honestly, ODLH can't win for losing. I give him credit for not going Mike Tyson on some of those knuckleheads. He is not the best boxer, but he's done a lot for the sport.

                    Great thread, BTW.
