I honestly believe in both encounters that JMM beat him.
and of course both fights jmm fought pacquiao he was 36 right?

    marquez isn't even 36 yet.

they fought last year and 5 years ago. you do the math.

the fights were a draw and a split decision win. it could have gone either way.

Of course manny looked good @ his only fight @ 135. David Diaz cant crack worth a damn, has slow feet and horrible form . Easy Pickings, He gets no love for fighting the weakest belt holder in the division.
david diaz was a top 5 ranked lightweight.

he was one of only 2 guys that had belts at the time. he had the wbc and juan diaz had the rest.

juan diaz lost to campbell before pacquiao even fought marquez at 130 yet.

nate campbell didn't get a belt 'til he beat juan diaz the month pacquiao fought marquez.

katsidis wasn't really in the picture yet. he got his name out there after the war with casa which took place after they already planned a diaz fight.

pac just fought marquez at 130.

david diaz was a good , solid fight for his 1st fight at 135.

most people take a tuneup in a new weight division. pacquiao's was a top 5 ranked fighter with a belt. not bad i say.

        not really.

whoever wrote that does NOT follow boxing.

they were off on a lot of timing of fights.

        revisionism of what really happened.

            lmao

you're comparing one of ricky's best wins to one of pacquiao's tuneups?

is david diaz even in the top 10 of pacquiao's wins?

i'm just saying he picked diaz to get a belt, period....the only reason hatton fought malginaggi was because paulie was the number 2 ranked jr. welter.....

BIG difference, who fights and who chooses opponents.

if anything david diaz is underrated.

the guy is one tough sob with a few good wins (santa cruz , erik morales , emmanuel burton) and his only losses were to holt at 140 and manny pacquiao.

not bad at all. not great but he ain't a bum.

the morales decision was highway robbery.....holt has a below average chin....david diaz is a guy that got lucky to win the wbc lightweight title....a footnote in history
