floyd, sr is a smart guy when it comes to boxing, I'm sure he is going to try and use rickys strenghts to the best of their abilities.....he has made small improvements in ricky's game i.e. defense.....if he can cut down on the unecessary hits he takes in fights, ricky will be a better fighter.

You cannot teach and old dog new tricks. As soon as Hatton gets beat to the punch a few times, I guarantee you, he will start bullrushing in like Hatton of old. That is a good thing IMO as that is his chance of beating Manny.

Hatton was successful by smothering and using his strength over his opponents, not trying to box. He had success "boxing" against Pauli because Pauli is ****ed up anyway and posed no threat.

Hatton has to take it to Manny from the first bell and get to him early. He needs to throw Manny off his game and then he can beat Manny. Can he do that? Well he has a shot, but it offers no guarantees. Any other approach though and he will have a terrible night guaranteed.
