what exactly is a generation??would roy and floyd be in the same generation??i dont think so..cause floyd rise started when roy declined..and hopkins cant be in the same generation with pacman...so break it down for me

No... This would be hard to break down, because fighters usually last around 10-13 years average. I think of it more like decades boxing-wise.

I always look at it by the individual fighter. 'His' generation or era is basically while he's in his prime and competin at the top level. Lookin at it that way, generations of fighters overlap a lot, which is why I usually don't bother wit those debates. It's all subjective really.
