Mark my words, he will end up fighting Caballero in September. Rafael is going to fight for the WBC title around then, so there will be no Lopez-Marquez until the winter. -
its really a one sided victory for juanma... penalosa doesnt bring much to the table coz hes old and more of a defensive boxer. i respect penalosa for taking
those brutal punishment from juanma and not goin down... any boxer would have gone down with those kind of brutal punishment. i wanna see juanma go toe to toe with the likes of him... that would be exciting to watch. and worth paying for... im sure juanma would easily dominate 120 or 125 lbs division. young, strong, and hungry to fight....Comment

i know for sure he won't fight vazquez, vazquez will fight until august or sept and i doubt he'll fight juanma without a 10 round fight first, and thats understandable,he will have been out for a year and a half,he said he doesn't want caballero because he wants more money, juanma that is....so this leaves marqeuz,,marquez fights next month,so maybe in sept??i hope so,that would be an awesome fight and i think he'll face vazquez at 126Comment

I really do hope he fights Caballero, even moreso than Vazquez and Marquez... I think those guys are probably damaged goods, and their ending career records will be seen that way when looked back on. Basically, I don't think they will be winning any big fights from here on out.
Caballero, on the other hand, brings two ABC belts, which will make for one hell of a unification match.
The other big match I'd like to see Lopez in is against Jhonny Gonzalez, who is fighting that Japanese fighter for his WBC title. Gonzalez should win according to a source I trust very much, so it would be nice to see that as another unification fight. Gonzalez is a very good fighter.Comment

a bigger fighter than gerry penalosa too perhaps?WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez is looking for big things in 2009. IMO he should fight Caballero and then the winner of Jhonny and that Japanese guy. Get all the titles then go up to 126 and meet Vazquez and Gamboa there. Maybe he can meet Marquez before going up to 126 because with the belts Marquez should be interested. Either way, I think he'll KO all of them except for maybe Vazquez. Caballero should get the worst beating because he fights too open.
