If that means he will try and ease his way in, he is really done for....
The last part of your statement is not true at all...The Marquez knock down(in the thrird fight), and the Diaz ko, were both some of the shortest straight lefts I have seen.....So no, Manny does not need that much space.
Ricky will not try and ease his way in, just use more head movement, feints, etc, on the way in.
Diaz went down after being pummled to the head the entire fight. He didn't exactly need a full blown KO punch to go down when he did.
The JMM knockdowns were more flash knockdowns - hence the reason JMM came back to almost win both fights..
who cares, manny's not going to be backing up the whole fight. He hasn't hesitated to go toe to toe with other hard punchers in his previous fights.
And more importantly, Ricky can't fight worth **** going backwards either. Sooner or later Pac's going to hurt him - and we all saw how Ricky copes when he gets hurt (Collazo, Mayweather, etc.), he doesn't cope well at all.
Sr. is delusional if he thinks Ricky's going to win by boxing. The only way Hatton beats Pac is if he goes with his old tactics, which is maul/hold/hug/wrestle the **** out of Pac, just like he did to Kostya.
Try to be slick and outbox Pac isn't going to work.
